Overview
After Candorem successfully launched the Madison Marathon event website for Race Day Events, the team at Race Day decided it was time to take on an even larger project; a complete redesign of their corporate site. The primary objective of the project was to create a clean, simple and organized hub for all of their event properties.
Candorem set to work on designing a site that would serve not only the site’s visitors by providing an intuitive experience, but also the Race Day team by developing the back-end to be easy to operate, update and manage without the need for additional training.

the strategy
keep it simple
Race Day holds over 300 events across the country every year. With their staff wearing multiple hats and working on-the-go, the new website needed to be manageable from anywhere, at anytime, and by any one of Race Day’s employees, each with varying levels of back-end experience.
the solution
consistency is key
Each webpage was set up with consistent headlines and large images to help users know what page they were on, and where they were browsing.
seeing results
new features, better experiences
Another important focus point for Race Day was to improve equipment rentals and offered services to potential customers. We set up simple menus, a “store” to browse items that can be rented, as well as a variety of services Race Day offers for events. Users may then reach out directly to inquire about custom options.
