the challenge
passing a torch
Crawfish Junction went through a change in ownership, or rather a passing of the torch from one beloved owner, to two new ones, who have a long history of working side by side with each other. The staff are a unique group of people, having grown over the years into a large family.
The new owners, with a long history of working together, wanted to make sure that the loyal long-time customers still felt at home while browsing an expanded and updated menu. Wanting to honor their wide range of customers, and cater to an even wider range of tastebuds, they knew that the redesign needed to be done the right way.
the process
how not to eat the subject matter
Candorem led Corey and Torey, the proud new owners of crawfish junction, through a workshop to determine the goals of each new menu. Strategic placement of food sections, how a customer might react to different menu options, and photo placement were all things to consider.
Once we had established a layout- the food photography began! This was one of the most delicious parts of this project, but also one of the most difficult. Getting just the right glisten of grease on a slice of cheese, and the perfect level of crispiness on chicken wings was a tag-team effort on the cooks, our cameras, and photoshop alike.
the solution
a variety of materials for all tastebuds
In the end, we created 6 event posters, multiple social media posts, and four brand new menus including a weekly menu, Friday specials menu, a drink menu and a catering menu.
