Overview
Johnson Health Tech, a top five fitness equipment manufacturer in the world, came to Candorem in need of an experienced team to design and launch an app for their customers. The idea for TREO came when Johnson Health Tech realized that in order to better serve their customers, they’d need to help them build healthy habits. This meant that they’d need a way to connect health coaches to customers, set client goals, and track results in an efficient and intuitive way that would feel rewarding to the user.

the challenge
keeping it simple
Helping grow a well defined idea into a full-fledged custom web-application was no small feat. Technology stack aside (spoiler alert: Node and React), our goal was to craft an experience that allowed users to spend less than one minute per day logging their activities in an effort to build adherence. This meant the UX/UI needed to be intuitive, streamlined, and be enjoyable. We even used a digital confetti cannon to fill the screen and celebrate newly logged activities to further establish successful behavior. Everyone loves confetti and success.
the approach
becoming test subjects
In order to produce the best results possible, we worked closely with the coaches, sales and marketing departments, and the on-staff doctor with a behavioral psychology focus to test and iterate through each major build.
This allowed us to user test the application from all perspectives within a fairly rapid pace. Toward the end, we were able to collect feedback and user data from pilot program users to continue polishing and evolving the application.
the solution
defining the focus
Within 12 months, Candorem built an entirely custom coaching platform with Content Management System features. We made sure customers could log their information within 2-3 clicks at all times, and that on boarding and scheduling real conversations with their coach was a smooth process.
